In the paper the law of surrounding rock displacement changing with difference space was investigated.It is indicated that the spatial series curves of the displacement for surrounding rock with a large number of joints and faults were of inconspicuous regularity usually,but for intact rock or rock with a few of structural planes was of obvious regularity.Therefore,it is suggested that surrounding rock whose regularity of spatial series of displacement is worse should be focused upon in design and construction of rock engineering.
