According to the results of optimization research on black caving system and actual situation of rock body in Yechangping molybdenum mine,Lushi county,Henan province,the cavability of the ore/rock was investigated and estimated on the basis of geomechanics classification and cavability index.The result showed that the cavability index for the oxidized ore is 1.94,for the primary ore is 3.90 and for ore-bearing talc is 2.82,the cavability of the oxidized ore is well,and the cavability of the primary ore and ore-bearing talc is well to moderate.The studied results provide a technological basis for the enlargement of production scale in this mine.
