The Engineering geology of open - pit slope in Huangmailing phosphorite mine was analyzed. A discrete element method for numerical simulation of open-pit slope stability in this mine was designed,and the selection principle and method of and control parameters was analyzed. The results of stability simulation of slope in this mine were analyzed,the instability mechanism and position of slope during mining were showed,some suggestions were brought forward for the continuing mining in this mine.
