The study on the ecological carrying capacity for mining area is a foundation of achieving sustainable development.On the basis of the systematic analysis the research progresses in ecological carrying capacity at home and abroad,this paper summarizes concepts about ecological carrying capacity,commentate expatiates upon research methods for ecological carrying capacity of mining area,and also points out the development direction of ecological carrying capacity research for mining area in future.
