The characteristics of wind load in blasting demolition of high building were analyzed.After the numerically calculating with the finite element software ANSYS,it was found that motion wind load mainly influence the stress in the top part of chimney,the top part maybe break and be thrown off in directional turning of chimney body.In addition,the angular acceleration of directional turning would influence the stress response of the top part of chimney under wind load,so the angular acceleration should be controlled by controlling the breaking velocity of the blasting cut.
