Shizuishan is a typical coal resource type industrial city which is built and flourished because of coal,at present,the coal resource is being increasingly exhausted after more than 40 years development in the city,and is one of first 12 resource-exhausted cities listed by China’s government.In order to accurately hold the industrial development orientation in the process of economic transition,on the basis of field investigation,the paper thoroughly analyzes the prominent questions faced by the industrial development of Shizuishan city,and considers that Shizuishan city should put forth effort on the transformation and upgrade of four traditional industries,and strive to cultivate and strengthen the six emerging industries,and build three industrial parks elaborately based on the area resources superiority and the existing development foundation.According to the above,paper also gives some suggestions in investment and financing,system reform and so on for speeding the industrial transition of Shizuishan city.
