The application of pre-mixed abrasive water jet(AWJ) cutting technology in inducing roof collapse was researched,the feasibility and safety of this technology in using in underground mine was analyzed,the abrasive water jet cutting equipment used for inducing roof collapse was made,and applied in mining.From the experiment result we can see:the cable bolt can be cut using the equipment,so it can be achieved to induce the hardness roof in upper corner of coal caving face to collapse,prevent the gas accumulate in the upper corner because of large-area hanging roof.Pre-mixed AWJ cutting technology is easy to apply,safety and highly effective,have the broad apply prospect in safety production of mine.
