This paper reviews the development of Chinese copper industry,summarizes the developing status of copper industry in Yunan province and Yunnan Copper Industry(Group)Co.Ltd,places stress on the analysis of the role and competitive power of Yunnan Copper Industry(Group)Co.Ltd in Chinese copper industry,also brings forward some countermeasures for the development of copper industry in Yunan province during the 11th Five-year Plan,and prospects the great development opportunities met with by the copper industry in Yunan province.
