According to the engineering geological conditions of III mining area of Jinchuan Group Ltd,some rock mass quality classification methods such as Q system,MRMR and so on were used to analysis the cavability of ore body and surrounding rock.The results indicated that the cavability of ultramafic rock is moderate,the cavability of marble and ore body is moderate to well,migmatite is extremely easy to cave in the mining area.These researched results has provided the basis for the design of block caving system and the production in III mining area of Jinchuan Group Ltd.
