Iron ore resources,the base of developing iron and steel industry,is indispensable to one nation's industrialization progress.In this paper,the development situation of China's iron and steel industry is analyzed,and the demand of iron ore in China is forecasted.The authors believe that the shortage of iron ore will exist until the completion of the industrialization.To solve the problem two measures have to be adopted.One is to strengthen the exploitation of domestic resources in moderation,and the other is to keep the rational importation of iron ore,the consumption and importation are of the same important,the combinatorial use of the policies must be rational to ensure the sustainable and economical provision of iron ore resources.
