Abstract:Metallogenic geological information extraction is a key for predicting and assessing mineral resources by GIS.However,for a long time,geological professionals separate from the information professionals,so that the process of mineral resources prediction and assessment based on GIS is badly handicapped.Therefore,a metallogenic geological information extraction system for geological professionals was development based on MpaGIS6.5 and by visual basic 6.0.This system can greatly enhance the efficiency of metallogenic geological information extraction,and ensure the standardization and Normalization of the data.It has been successfully applied to the prediction and assessment of Gangdese porphyry copper belt in Tibet.
