Disadvantages of sublevel caving without sill pillar lie in high ore loss and dilution as well as difficult control of ore loss and dilution.The author points out that disadvantages of sublevel caving without sill pillar can be overcome through the change of mining method,and puts forward a conceive that block caving method,large-diameter deep-hole mining method,fill stoping method,and sublevel caving with sill pillar and level ore drawing plan are used to replace sublevel caving without sill pillar.
