Taking the opencast and waste dump in Kee, Xihedi mining areas for examples, mechanical properties of slopes and influencing factors of slopes stability has been investigated and analyzed. Based on these, a gray forecast model of slope stability is established, and failure models of slope are determined, some strategic and tactical technical control measures are put forward.
