Jiangsu is an economy developed province in China,simultaneously is the big energy-consuming province also,in which primary energy is deficient.Along with fast development of economy in recent years,energy supply and demand increased by large scale year by year in this province.This article discusses the present situation of energy resources and the energy supply and demand in Jiangsu,moreover,makes a comparison of it with domestic other provinces and other countries,and draws the conclusion:(1) the contradictory of energy supply and demand is prominent;(2) the energy consumption structure urgently awaits to be adjusted and optimized because of its irrationality;(3) the intensivism degree of the energy utilization locates the leading level in China,but is still in biggish gap compared with developed countries;(4) The high-technology industry that consumes energy fewer and products more is becoming one big highlighted spot of economical development in Jiangsu.
