The noticeable problems that should be noticed appear in reforming the ventilation systems of gold mines, in which the natural wind pressure is higher, are discussed in this paper. It is considered that the natural ventilation must be fully utilized in reforming the ventilation systems of gold mines, so the gradual low- power multi -fan ventilation system should be adopted in these gold mines. Before the optimization of ventilation system, one should optimize the ventilation network. The optimization of ventilation network can be achieved by using path method. The branch in non - duty paths but not in duty paths can be regarded as air escape branch and should be removed from the network. The paths that include two or more duty branches can be regarded as polluted air series path and some branches should be removed from the network to eliminate such paths. If the network is broken into two or more parts when polluted air series paths are eliminated, some duty branch in such path should be turned to non - duty branch through adjusting plan of underground Work.
