Abstract:The Water pollution in a mining area is making bad influence no the health of local residents, therefore,it will become very important to investigate the situation of the water pollution. This paper detailedly analyzes the water's spectral characteristics obtained by field survey in some copper mine,Jiangxi province. Based on this,ASTER remote sensing data is chosen according to the requirement of the project.Subsequently, the water pollution information is extracted using spectral angle mapper(SAM) method, and a three dimension image model is generated in order to better interpret the situation and cause of water pollution. The remote sensing identification of water pollution can provide timely, exact and large-scale information for the control of environmental pollution so as to effectively realize the dynamic monitoring of environmental pollution in the mining area.
