Mineral resources belong to the resources which cannot be regenerated,and the mineral resources in known mining areas will be exhausted one day.Therefore,it is necessary condition of realizing the sustainable development of mineral industry to strengthen the selection and construction of backup base of mineral resources in time.Based on the comprehensive discussion on the pattern of regional iron enrichment,the geological exploration and exploitation potentials of iron mineral resources and important mineralization belt in China,the backup bases of iron mineral resources is chose,and at last several suggestions for the construction of the backup bases are set forth.
