According to the study of mechanical parameters,strength and deformation characteristics of surrounding rock of the test tunnel and planned spillway tunel,it is considered that the excavation of the planned spillway tunel with a diameter of five metres is feasible by the use of the construction method and experience,and the spillway tunel will is stable after it is constructed.
