One of difficulties in opencast operation is to mine the slope bench pillar.Three stoping schemes of the bench pillar on the southwest open-pit slope in Huidong Lead-zinc Mine were put forward.At first,he three schemes were compared in technology and economy,then,the comprehensive assessment on these schemes was made by use of fuzzy mathematics method.By the use of the selected optimal scheme good economic benefit has been obtained.This provides some experiences for this mine itself and other similar mines to mine slope bench pillar
