In view of the combined open-pit and underground mining in Sandaozhuang molybdenum mine,Henan province,the needed thicknesses of safe partition pillar for the different spans of goal were calculated out respectively using finite element simulation and beam theory of structural mechanics,and the reasonable thickness of safe partition pillar for the combined open-pit and underground mining in this mine was determined also.
