In view of the fuzziness existing in the evaluation of area dominant mineral, a new model of area dominant mineral evaluation based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was put forward, in which fuzzy mathematics theory was combined with traditional evaluation method. In this paper, the key steps of establishing this model are introduced and its application is given by a practical ease. The results indicate that this model has great practicability and is easy to apply.
