Based on the analysis of the mechanism of water inrush in Dongtan coal mine, the lithologic character, the developmental degree of structure and the catchment conditions of water are selected from many influence factors as forecasting factors, and a forecasting model of water harm is established. Finally, the model is used to forecast water harm of whole mine, and the obtained results are good related to the known irrupting points of water in this coal mine.
