The controlled blasting of a reinforced concrete base with a depth of 1.2m and an area of 170m^2 had been carried out in the workshop of Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co. Ltd, and good demolition result had been accomplished. The selection of blasting scheme, the determination of blasting parameters and explosive charge, charging structure, priming network as well as safe guarding measures are discussed in this paper.
