The paper describes the status of mining cities of china and analyses the major problems in mining cities of China firstly. Secondly, it analyses foreign representative experiences, practical experiences and theoretical researches in mining cities of China. Finally, from a new point of view, it offers five ideas of transformation of economy structure in mining cities of china. They are: difference, breaking up the whole into parts, detaching living from producing, cooperating and complementing in harmony, and only providing policies for nation.
