Abstract:The cheep tungsten slag iron alloy hah been used as main alloying element to make tungsten alloy white cast iron liner, and the possibility of improving the service life of the alloy cast iron liner by means of RE-modification had been studied. The results show that after tungsten alloy white cast iron is modified using suitable RE, the net eutectic carbide is changed into break net, impact toughness and wear resistance are obviously improved. The ball mill liner made in tungsten alloy white cast iron containing RE has the same service life as high chromium cast iron, while its production cost decreases by 50% and its service life is 120% longer than that of high manganese steel.
