Ultra-purified lithium carbonate, a basic raw material for manufacturing electronic and optical components, boasts a great application prospect and market potential. In Xinjiang Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals, a manufacturing process was successfully developed for ultra-purified lithium carbonate and a small-scale production line was installed which now could produce the product with a stable quality and with various technical indices up to the standards. The remaining issues to be tackled include cutting production costs and fully commercialization of the process.
