The author introduced the method for rock mechanics work while using block caving mining technology, in the light of the ore-caved fragmentation on 810 level of 5# ore body in Tongkuangyu Mine, mainly analyzed the factors which affect ore-caved fragmentation and put forward some measures to reduce oversized fragments.
