Mineral resources of Pb-Zn in Shannxi province are mostly distributed in Fengxian-taibai region and its annual output accounts for 72% of the entire provincial output. At present, Pb-Zn retained reserves are insufficient to exploit in the future three to five years, therefore, exploration is very urgent. In this situation, the author analyzes the application of metallogenic theories in every exploratory phase through long exploratory practice, cognition, practices again, and cognition again in Fengxian-Taibai,region, and discusses main metallogenic controlling conditions during the metallogenesis, confirms exploration thoughts and target in the next phase.
