It was discussed that under the market economy conditions, what internal and external environments the geology and mineral industries are faced with and how to adapt themselves to the changes of environment to realize sustainable development of the industries. So it was advanced that with the new situation, a geology-mineral industries-integrated and longitudinal development strategy of cooperation between geologic survey and mineral sectors, mutual supplement of superiorities and common development should be adopted.
