Abstract:Recently, the pressure hydrometallurgy applied for treatment of non-ferrous metal sulfide ores has developed rapidly. The technology has manifested irrefutable advantages in environment protection and extraction of metals. In this paper, based on leaching process behaviors of platinum-group metals(PGMs) the lately progress in pressure hydrometallurgy of Cu-Ni sulfide ores containing PGMs was presented. The typical processes including pressure ammonia leaching, pressure acid leaching, pressure alkaline leaching and pressure cyanide leaching were reviewed, including their ore characters, technological parameters and industrial practice. The behaviors of PGMs in pressure hydrometallurgy processes were also discussed.
