Abstract:In a certain uranium deposit, the proved ore bodies mostly distribute 208 and 216 zones. The distance between the two zones is 3.5km. Many investigations had been carried out in the middle section between the ore zones, but the unsatisfactory results were obtained. This paper adopts the mathematical geologic method to divide the middle section between 208 and 216 zones into 16 elements having equivalent area, and selects 9 major geologic variables closely related to mineralization, then determines the values of the variables by specified rules, at last, predicts the mineralization in the middle section by clustering analysis and character analysis respectively. The results of the predictions could be used as the basis for geologic prospecting in the middle section.
