The frequent bucket falling accidents of aerial ropeway haulage in Xiaoyi Bauxite Mine greatly influence the ore delivery to Shanxi Aluminum Works. Based on the analysis of the causes of bucket falling,some relevant improving measures were put forward such as increasing the reliability and service life of the parts of buckets,improving the structure design of buckets. Through the implementation of these measures,the probability of bucket falling has been reduced from 19% to1.8%.
