The No.100 Orebody in Gaofeng Mining Ltd. is a high grade polymetallic one. Due to some reasons, many residual pillars were left unrecovered during mining operations. Based on the occurrence characteristics of these residual pillars and the mining technological conditions, a proposal was put forward in which the mined-out space would be filled and followed by stoping the residual pillars using a supported drift stoping system.
