The paper describes in detail the development and application of the Mine Management Information System (KLTK-MIS) in Kelatongke Copper-Nickel Mine, with a whole description of the development process, targets, functions, structures and information management of the system. It is suggested that the organizational structure and management behavior of the mine should be improved and transformed during and after the establishment of the KLTK-MIS. Development of the management information system serves as a useful experiment regarding the application of computer technology in other mines in the Xinjiang Region. Desirable results have been obtained.
