Abstract:Acoustic emission tests were carried out in the lab with the drill core obtained from Huangshaping Lead-Zinc Mine on the rigid compression testing machine. The frequency range of the AE sensor used in the tests was from 100 to 1000 Hz. Test results showed that the limestone specimen produces obvious Kaiser effect. Furthermore, under the conditions of cycling loading, the influence of the storage time of the specimen on the Kaiser effect could be effectively eliminated and the measured vertical in-situ rock stress was in excellent coincidence with the self-gravity stress at the survey point.
