The paper discusses the reasons for overstocking of spare parts in various periods and at various stages. In order to reduce overstocking, such measures have been taken as enforcing centralized management and specialized spot inspection, enhancing competence of management personnel and improving the quality of equipment repair. And good results have been achieved.
