When mineral processing tests were carried out on the mixed ore from Gaocun and Yunxi, the two mining areas in Hetai Gold Mine, the relationship between mesh-of-grind and the floatational recovery was tested. Test results show that ore of -200 mesh of up to 85% can meet production requirements. However, the gold grade of tailings is as high as 0.59 g/t, far higher than the national average 0.35g/t. Therefore, further study is necessary for recovery of gold from the tailings.
