Propagation of blasting-induced seismic waves in rockmass is a very complicated process. The paper discussed the empirical formula for propagation rules of blasting-induced seismic waves and proposed the concept of equivalent distance. It is the author's view that influence area of blasting seismicity could be divided based on equivalent distance. A case study has proved the feasibility of this division.
