Abstract:Ore from Fankou Lead-Zinc Mine is not only abundant in Pb, Zn, Ag ans S, but also rich in rare metal resources such as germanium (Ge) and gallium (Ga). Over more than a decade, a tracking and follow-up study has been conducted of the enriching behavior of Ge and Ga in various dressing processes using different chemicals. The study shows that under strong alkali conditions the use of zinc sulfate as an inhibitor of sphalerite in separating zinc from lead in the preferential floatation process will exert a remarkable influence on the enriching behavior of germanium and gallium.
