Starting from the basic concept and the major characteristics of knowledge economy and in combination with the rudiments of knowledge economy in the actual production management of Huidong Lead Zinc Mine,the authors suggested that the management should get the basic work well done and forge ahead gradually toward the knowledge economy in information era.This paper gave people a new enlightenment on some important issues such as increasing technical content of products,enhancing consciousness for blazing new trails,persisting in sustainable devolopment and participating in large circulation of international economy etc.
