The development of chinese drilling equipment experienced various changes from down-the-hole drill to tricone rotary drilling rig,from low air-pressure DTH drill to high air-pressure DTH drill and from small hole drilling to large hole drilling.With large-hole mining method popularized in China,the demand for large diameter drilling equipment is becoming pressing.Even though the development work of domestic devices in this respect has been launched already,it is still hard to meet the actual requirement,Therefore,the author presented some ideas on the development of domestic drilling equipment in the future.
