In weishan rareearth mine, the Experimental study of total tailings backfilling shows that there is not obvious unfavourable factors for using total tailings as filling materials in comparison with deslimed tailings. For total tailings, it is easier to prepare homogeneous slurry, and the slurry has good transportation and water separating performances. It is also capable to achieve higher concentration and gravity flow transporting of tailings slurry by using partrial fluidization sucking up and vertical storage to slurry tailings.
