Taking several typical underground coal mines in Australia as examples, the author uses the theory of influence function for the theoretical analysis and calculation of surface deformation and movement caused by mining. The characteristics of strata displacement and surface movement in these coal mines have some different characters from others in other countries. However, a satisfactory result was obtained still from the analysis and calculation.
