Under the circumstances of simulating actual working condition of multi rope friction hoist, the actual measurement of lining friction coefficient is made with the experimental bench for hoist. The influences of relative sliding velocity and specific pressure on the friction coefficient are analyzed. By means of regression analysis of the experimental data. a empirical formula on the lining friction coefficient of hoist is developed.
