As the need of engineering, the single-leg weather-proof shelter of No. 2 platform at Zhuzhou railway station was blasted with directional controlled blasting method in mid October 1995 and satisfactory results were obtained. This paper described the blasting scheme, actual operation and results, meanwhile summing up experiences and shortcomings.
