A continuous and complete sand-consolidated water-sealing curtain was effectively formed with chemical grouting in the fine sand layer between two rows of piles at the periphery of the riverside foundation of No. 1 pump house at Dongjiang pharmaceutical factory, thus achieving water-seal goal and saving lot of investment. Water-sealing curtain of chemical grouting is convenient for construction, simple in equipment, reliable in efficiency and no toxic pollution so that it is one of effective means for the construction of foundation near water and has good prospect for wide application.
