According to the specific situation of blasting in Yougping copper mine, the author uses the detonation theory to analyze the characteristics of both vertical and in-clined moderate Longhole blasting in open pit mines. Beginning by the analysis of toe bur-den, hole-pattern parameters, Large fragment productivity, toe rock drilling efficiency, operating cost and seismic effect of blasting the author describes the different blasting mechanism and results about two types of drilling holes, and confirms a unique superiority of inclined holes about the bench blasting in open pit mines.
