The author summarizes the advantages of small development and cut-off work, effective protection of surface installation and adaptation to change of orebody mor-phology etc showing in the application of point-pillar fill stoping in Fenghuangshan copper mine, analyzes the problems of this mining method on poor safety, great ore loss and diffi-cult operating management etc existing in mining production, and puts forward the im-provemental measures. This paper is of a referential importance to the similar mines.
