The authors use a number of test data and the method of theoretical analysis to discuss the progress in the study on deepsea polymetallic nodule collection methods during the eighth five-year plan in China, including the intermediate results obtained in this period. This paper is of important literature value and practical importance to the ocean polymetallic nodule mining in China's mine area.
