The running chassis of mine service vehicles are very much the same thuscan be replaced by a general chassis,on which all kinds of operating devices are installed tocomposea different-purpose service equipment.In this way,both time period and cost usedto develop the equipment can be reduced.Therefore,the study on the general chassis is avery important work.Together with partners of the same occupation at home,the Machin-ery Research department of our Institute made arduous efforts to study the general chassisof service vehicles for China's mines,and obtained some achievements.While an introduc-tion to these achievements is made,this paper gives the focal points of the researchingwork during the ninth five-year plan and the developing trend in a longer term,as an opin-ions for discussion with the same occupation.
